Neighbor builds fence on 50ft inside outside of property line and insists his decades-old fence overrides legal survey, gets schooled by property owner who cut right through it: 'They were entirely out of line'

Ah, neighbors. Can't live with 'em, can't stop them from building fences where they don't belong.

An Oklahoma man recently bought 10 acres of land to build his dream home, only to discover that his neighbor's rusty old fence was planted 50 feet inside his property line. When he politely mentioned there was a survey proving it, the neighbor lost their mind and started screaming that surveys don't matter if the fence is already there. Hmmm.

That's not quite how property law works. The man had simply cleared a path and cut through the fence so he could reach his building site. Totally reasonable. But apparently, this was the neighbor's villain origin story, because they immediately showed up yelling like they'd caught him stealing cows.
